Not Qualified To Write a Blog!

Of all the things I'd thought I'd be doing at this stage in my life THIS is definitely not one of them. I'm more of a doer and not so much of a sayer. I grew up Sicilian in Boston in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980's and 1990s. I was brought up under the Archie Bunker Affect. (You younger folks can look it up while we older folks giggle out loud.)
My parents smoked cigarettes. I smoked cigarettes. EVERYONE smoked cigarettes. I was spanked and hit on the back of the legs until I was 14-15 years old and was too old to drop my pants in front of my mother. When I did something stupid my parents called me stupid. And hit me. And then lit up a Salem cigarette and had another cup of coffee.
I learned a lot of the trades; carpentry, painting, plumbing, light electrical and plumbing, tile work, landscaping and anything else that was put in front of me. I did automotive body work and mechanics. I was a computer operator at the Harvard Center for Astrophysics and the Smithsonian Institution. I was in the United States Army and National Guard in Massachusetts and Arizona. My military experience took me to Missouri, Indiana, Arizona, Germany and Massachusetts.
I just worked.
I worked at skilled nursing centers, rehabilitation centers and assisted living centers. I worked at a behavioral health hospital in Boston. I learned a lot about Facilities Maintenance as a staffer that grew into a Director's postion 15 years into that career.
So, like I said, doing a blog was the last thing I'd ever consider. Writing a blog about custom tile mosaics wasn't even on the radar dish. But, here we are. I hope you folks will add to the conversation, ask lots of questions and make any criticisms or recommendations to better my mosaic skills. I thank you in advance.
